Today's customers demand the best. Customers have high expectations, and to truly succeed, companies must prioritize five things that customers care about:
Convenience: I always say we have to make our customers' lives easier. If we make them work too hard, they have endless other options and won't stick with us. Think about Amazon – they've set the bar for fast delivery. Research shows customers now expect packages in two and a half days or less.
Quality: Gone are the days where customers are okay with receiving a product that just won't last. You know those rumors about companies designing things to break so you have to buy replacements? Well, that strategy backfires now.
Price: We are in the age of inflation. Some might say we're in a recession. If your prices are way higher than the competition, you better have a good reason. Today's customers are all about value.
